Hello All,

This weekend Nicci will be leading a run up at Palisades Park. She’s leaving Hoboken at 8:30 AM with a planned start of 9:00 AM at the park entrance. Please email her at trinicci at gmail dot com if you would like a ride. On Sunday Andrew C will be hosting a trainer session starting at 9:00 AM. Feel free to drop off your trainers on Saturday and just email him at andrew dot corcione at gmail dot com to make sure he still has space.

Rush Cycling has offered us a private indoor spin class as long as we can get 10 members to join the fun. RJ is coordinating the schedule so please email him directly at Richard.Boergers at shu dot edu if you are interested.

We are in the process of making our 2012 Uniform purchases. You can buy just a top or a bottom if you would like and each piece is only $50. The February social will be Thursday, Feb 2nd meeting at the Pilsner House. Nicci and Mike will be out there about 7:30 so come join the fun and see everyone when they’re not in spandex!

Hello All,

Congrats to Scott Duprex for taking the overall win at the Causeway Biathlon this past weekend. With the season coming very close to an end for everyone, if you have any results, please email Andrew or so everyone gets to learn of the awesomeness of GC Tri!

This weekend Andrew C and Raphael will be leading a group ride on Saturday leaving the 14th St Ferry at 8:00 AM.

GC Tri has yet another awesome discount to offer official club members (we do have a list). Surya Yoga in Hoboken has offered us 10% of a 10 pack of sessions at their studio. Rather than $200, it is only $180 and it is good for one year after activation. Take advantage of this great deal and do something different than just swimming, biking or running!

Weekly Newsletter/Weekend Ride

Hi All,

Congratulations to Carlos Garcia and Eyal Maor who took 1st and 3rd in their age group at the NY Tri this past weekend at Harriman State Park.

This weekend Jen and Kristine will be leading a group ride on Sunday leaving the 14th St Ferry at 6:30 AM. We don’t have an official leader for Saturday, but if you are looking to ride and want some friends, please feel free to post on the Yahoo and Facebook Groups!

Our next GC Tri Social will be held on Wednesday September 7th at the new Pilsner House Biergarten in Hoboken. Come join the fun and meet the group when we’re not in spandex!

Good luck to everyone racing at the Sebagoman, Timberman or Age Group Nationals this weekend! Don’t forget to send in your results!

Weekly Newsletter 7/24

Hello All,

We had a huge weekend of racing for GC Tri at NJ State Triathlon and Ironman Lake Placid! At NJ State Martin Skolnick and Cheryl Tarbous went 3:05 in the olympic distance. Lisa Mangino also finished the tough race in a solid 3:09. In the sprint Glenn Hartrick took 7th overall, winning his age group. Melissa Manning won her age group as well with Kristine Papamichael taking 6th and Erica Manning taking 12th. Congrats to all who suffered through the heat to finish a great race!

At Ironman Lake Placid Gctri represented well with Griffin McNeese (9:46) taking 9th overall for the amateurs and earning a slot to Kona. Megan Wiseman (10:43) took 4th in her AG and also earned a spot to Kona. Here are the rest of our amazing results: Andrew Shore: 10:41, Jared Tootell 9:54 (17th overall for amateurs), Scott Duprex: 10:10, Will Reagan: 11:00.55, Eyal Maor: 10:55, Raphael Zagury: 11:15, Andrew Corcione: 11:45, Julian Setian: 11:59, Nicci Schock: 12:01, Grace Lin: 12:11, Eva Kovacs: 13:38, and Mike Eng: 12:18. Congrats to all of our first timers and everyone else who raced to best times!!!

This weekend Jen and Mike will be leading a ride on Saturday leaving the 14th St Ferry in Hoboken at 7:00 AM. There also appears to be an early bird ride on Sunday leaving at 5:00 if anyone is interested.

Don’t forget, next Wednesday will be the GC Tri social at City Bistro outdoor deck meeting around 7:00 PM. Attendance is mandatory!

Weekly Newsletter/Weekend Ride

Hello All,

Congrats to Rich Miani who completed the Southampton Firecracker 8k this past weekend in a solid 36:38. Congrats as well to Julian Setian and Scott Duprex who completed the Cranford Firecracker 4 Miler in 25:30 and 24:52.

This weekend Mike S and Jen will be leading a group ride leaving the 14th St Ferry on Saturday at 7:30 AM. On Sunday Andrew C will be leading the ride leaving the 14th St Ferry at 8:00 AM.

Weekly Newsletter/Weekend Ride

Hello All,

Congrats to Jen Finotti-Sheppard who took 3rd overall female and Lisa Mangino taking 3rd in her Age Group at the Wycoff triathlon this past weekend. Congrats as well to Shelley Palumbo for taking 2nd in her Age Group and Simon Websters great performance at the Long Branch Sprint.

This weekend Kristin and Jen will be leading the Saturday group ride leaving the 14th St Ferry in Hoboken at 7:30 AM. On Sunday, Nicci and Grace will be leading the group ride leaving the 14th St Ferry at 7:00 AM. Get out there before the heat!
