Weekly News Update 8/2

Congratulations to GCTri members who competed at IRONMAN Lake Placid (one of our club designated races).  We finished 2nd out of 14 teams in Division III in the TriClub Challenge. This Saturday we have a couple options for rides: RJ will be leading a 60mi ride (~18mph avg) to Nyack that will leave the 14th St. Pier at 7am.  John Argueta and Nicci Schock will be leading a 30 mile (Newbie friendly ~14mph avg) ride that will depart from Weehawken Track at 8am.  Happy Training!

Weekly News Update 7/25

Congratulations to GCTri members who competed at the NJ State Triathlon (one of our club designated races).  We finished 9th out of 25 in the Team Up Challenge this year for participation (really could have used Hartrick’s points).  At the Sprint Race we had: Brad Roberts, Sean Greene, John Argueta, Dani Rossi, Heather Cameron, Jenny Altagracia, Kirsten Greene, Hoda Osman; At the Olympic Race we had: Steve Su, Mike Satz, Dave Calabrese (7th AG), Matt Mustich, Gabby Czernik (2nd AG), Maria Wedgeworth, Jared Manks, Mike D’Imperio, RJ Boergers, Jamie Brabston (1st AG), Nicole Ogrosso (7th AG), Dave Pietrangelo, Cheryl Tarbous, Margaret Grandstaff, Sara Press (her triathlon debut!); At IRONMAN Racine 70.3  we had Jim Englert (6:04); At Pequannock Sprint we had Marc Hourican (7th OA, 1st AG). Weekly News Update 6/21

Last weekend’s races saw some terrific GCTri club results (and many members looked great too sporting their new Hincapie Race Kits).  Congratulations to GCTri members who finished the Wyckoff-Franklin Triathlon: Jen Sheppard (6th Overall, 2nd AG), Jamie Moreng (1st AG), Lisa Mangino (9th AG), Glenn Hartrick (2nd Overall), Derek Barnes, Marc Hourican (6th AG), Gabby Czernik (3rd overall), Nick Walulik (1st AG).  Congrats to the Long Branch Triathlon finishers: Erik Donohue (1st Overall – Long course), Jamie Brabston (1st AG), Heather Cameron (2nd AG), Nicole Ogrosso (1st AG), Mark Rogers (6th AG), Brad Roberts (4th AG) and Mike Frank (5th AG).  Best wishes to our favorite GCTri past president Andrew Shore at IRONMAN Coeur D’Alene.  Good luck to team members racing IRONMAN Syracuse 70.3, TriRock Philadelphia, Stars and Stripes Aquathon and all other races this weekend. Weekly News Update 6/14

Congrats to our GCTri members who raced last weekend at Eagleman, Lap the Lake, NJ Highlands Gran Fondo and Jersey Genesis.  At Eagleman we had Dave Doherty (5:08), Kevin Portmann (4:40), and Courtney Anderson (5:29); Heather Cameron had an awesome swim at Lap the Lake (5th overall female , 4th AG); Glenn Hartrick took 1st overall at Jersey Genesis; At the NJ Highlands Gran Fondo we had John Argueta (4:09), Carlos Buenano (3:53) and Heather Cameron.  Please remember to keep sharing your results with us on the website –  http://www.gctri.org/race-results/submit-results/ Good luck to all GCTri members competing in Wyckoff-Franklin Triathlon, the Long Branch Triathlon and any other races this weekend!  Hincapie orders have arrived!
