We’ve begun the planning process for the 2015 race season already. Designated club races that have been determined so far include: IM Mont Tremblant, Mont Tremblant 70.3, NJ State Olympic & Sprint. We’ve created a survey to help us determine what other races we should designate as “official club races”. I think everyone will agree, it’s always more fun to race with your friends. Please fill out the attached survey so we can make some other good choices for club races. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1HostOsUpYKIpx9MlObDTZ6E0Rbr-IF9sUB58tjw_ME4/viewform?usp=send_form

Next Saturday (10/4) we ride for beer! We are heading the Defiant Brewery in Pearl River, NY. Stay tuned for more details from Lisa Mangino. She is in the process of shoring up the details. She will post to the group with final information.

Weekend Rides: As a reminder all rides depart from 14th St. Ferry Pier unless otherwise noted. On Saturday, Lisa is leading a B+ drop ride up to state line (~40mi) departing at 8am. On Sunday, Nicole is leading a B ride up to state line (~40mi) or possibly to The Market leaving at 10am. Also, Shelley is looking to get a C ride together on Saturday or Sunday. Please respond to her FB post if interested. Happy traning.

GCTri’s talented athletes were at it again last weekend! There were many great race times had at the 2N’s 5k Anything is Possible Race (at South Mountain and from many virtual locations). Even better than the race times, was the fact that we were out there supporting our good friend and teammate Glenn Hartrick as he continues his recovery. Congrats to Diane Berry, Deirdre McGuinness (2nd AG), and Tom Porrovechio for a job well done at the Six Flags Triathlon. Good luck to those racing this weekend at Toughman, Gran Fondo NJ, IRONGirl, & Skylands Triathlon. Best wishes to Kevin Portmann and Cristian Gonzalez on strong races at IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships!

Mark your calendars! The September social is scheduled for Thursday 9/18 @ 7:30pm. As we get closer we will announce the location (if it’s nice, hopefully we will be outside).

IRONMAN Princeton 70.3 is just around the corner. We hope to have another huge cheering section to support the over 20 team members that will be competing. Bring your favorite cowbell. We will be having a huge picnic after the race. Please sign up and let us know what you will be bringing for the big post-race bash. Picnic Sign up

There are a couple options for you this weekend for rides. On Saturday Jared is leading a 56mi course preview for the Princeton 70.3. The group will be meeting at Mercer County park at 8am. Also on Saturday, RJ will be leading a 40mi “B ride” to State Line (or possibly to the Filling Station for a muffin). This ride departs the 14th St. Pier at 8am. If you haven’t made it to the track workouts yet – you are missing a great opportunity to get faster! Thursday morning rides are still going, but front and rear lights are mandatory for safety since sunrise is much later now. Happy Training!
